Empire Earth 3

Empire Earth III is the third installment in the Empire Earth series of real-time strategy games developed by Mad Doc Software and published by Sierra Entertainment. It was released in 2008, three years after the second game and six years after the original Empire Earth. While keeping many of the features and gameplay mechanics of the original game, Empire Earth III features great improvements and additions.

Empire Earth III contains four different epochs for each civilization: The Ancient Age, The Middle Ages, The Gunpowder Age, and The Digital Age. Each epoch unlocks new buildings, technologies, and units that give players many tactical and strategic options. The game also includes an extensive range of new technologies, such as nuclear weapons and a wide selection of special abilities that can be used to influence the battlefield. Additionally, players can research and utilize a variety of upgrades, such as improved armor and weaponry for their units.

Empire Earth III also includes a single-player campaign. The plot follows the adventures of two siblings, Mike and Emily, as they fight their way through five dynamic campaigns. In addition to the single-player campaign, the game features a skirmish mode and an online multiplayer option, allowing players to battle against each other in up to eight-player skirmishes.

Empire Earth III has received mixed reviews, with some praising the game for its enjoyable campaigns and strategic options, while others criticizing its steep learning curve and lack of originality. Though it received mostly positive reviews, Empire Earth 4 was never released, and the franchise has since been neglected. Despite this, Empire Earth III remains an enjoyable and engaging real-time strategy game for all kinds of players.
